BRACKENFALL >>
Listening closely to Tansysong's words, the deputy gazed at her questioningly. Was this she-cat actually telling the truth? He didn't see why not, he himself had left IvyClan for a similar, if not the same reason. Though he was probably biased, MothClan was the more battle-focused of all three Clans, housing the best fighters, and that seemed to be what the small cat was looking for. But for what purpose was this young she-cat looking to fight for? He nudged the thought from his mind. What did it matter? They always needed fresh new blood in their Clan, and Tansysong seemed to be a great new asset. He waited for her to finish speaking, then took a moment to think further, silence filling the space between them.
After what seemed like a million heartbeats, the silky tom rose to his paws, looming over the MistClan warrior. "Alright then." He began, a concerned inflection in his tone. What was he going to say to Mothstar? Sure, they'd accepted other Clan cats, but that was when they were smaller. Now they were much larger and close-knit, with no cat questioning the loyalty of another. That's what made them so strong. He prayed to StarClan that this she-cat was certain of the decision she was making, or Mothstar would have his pelt. Brackenfall glanced toward his silver Clanmate. Maybe he should have asked Feathercrest's opinion first? However, he was deputy, it was his place to make the decision, not his friends.
"I'll take you to MothClan." He meowed, this time more confidently. "I'll have to speak with Mothstar first, before you can enter our camp. He won't be the least bit happy about this, but I think I can persuade him in your favor." Again, he paused, glancing over the small she-cat once more. "Don't make me regret this." The deputy turned, with nothing more to add, and headed back towards the camp. This would be the first time the tom had brought a cat from another Clan into the camp, and he'd seen what had happened to his Clanmates when they had done something similar. Hell, he himself had just punished Snaketongue for the very act he was about to execute. No, Brackenfall decided, Mothstar trusted him and his loyalty. He knew the tabby tom wouldn't do anything to jeopardize his Clan. Else, why would he have chosen him as deputy? Oh fox-dung, he hoped he was right.
