Ahhh hahaha, she seemed a bit defensive against his higher vantage point.  He hid a smug grin as he paced, but it was disrupted by her movement.  She was lucky her stride was so short and she stepped in front of his path.  If the she-cat had moved any quicker or any closer to him he would have mistaken it for an advance on him and he would have reacted accordingly.  It took only a moment for his tensed muscles to ease back into a ready state, he took this time to gather his mind as well.  Raptors head had cocked to the side as he made his abrupt stop, head filled with wonder as to why the warrior would make such a bold and stupid move around an enemy, nearly getting her pretty pelt sliced up.  

He listened as she questioned him, centering himself with a grin.  Clever kitty.  Whether she was just trying to get more out of him on the rouge group or if she was trying to pry his status as an outsider out of him he didn't know, but he still wouldn't give way on the latter.  "Those cats recruit anyone they can to join in their death march, its really quite a nuisance to us outsiders who have no quarrel with the clans.  I simply thought you'd have known that already." Yet again he used the word outsider and not rouge, surely the she-cat had noticed already- known he was quite dangerous, but she still had nothing on him to confirm her suspicion.

He continued on as to bring the topic away from himself, "Hmphf... I would have thought you clanners would have known much more than you do since you're the ones fighting them." The tom stepped in close to the she-cat blocking his path, face lowered and close to hers.  She was the one who had made such a bold move so he'd see how uncomfortable he could make her before she'd back down. Despite her reckless attitude Raptor feared no teeth or claws.  He hadn't wandered out here in search of trouble, but he wasn't one to step away from some and so far Stoatwhisker had offered him nothing he cared to know about the rouge clan.

This was slowly turning into a battle of wits, each of the snow-furred felines trying to silently one-up each other, turning the odds over and over until one of them would get dizzy and fall. He was so close now that she could easily smell every bit of the random scents which clung to his pelt like fleas.
"Really?  so now they can recruit whomever they chose? Did you not say the only a mouse brain would follow them?" she mewed, a fake purr backing it up, as she took another step closer to him, staring directly into his multi-colored eyes. She hid her defensive barriers, hoping that she could accomplish what she needed to do. "Or maybe you are the mouse-brain here, as I seem to be the one getting what I want."
Without moving her eyes, she swiped a paw across his legs, and leaped back, putting some distance between them.

"Yes my dear, I did say that.  I'm quite glad those ears of yours aren't just for decoration and you're capable of listening." His voice rang out in a confident honey smooth tone, as if it wasn't even an insult but a mentor scolding his absent minded apprentice.  The tom didn't even flinch as she moved in closer, how cute, he thought.  Her proximity hardly bothered him, see he quite enjoyed this game they were playing.  Raptor was about to shoot back a comment on how he didn't need to resort to name calling or that he was just helping out since he pitied cats so unprepared to face their foes, but instead she made a physical move.

Her 'attack' wasn't going to cause him any real harm, it seemed more like a bullying kit move.  He could have attempted to avoid it, but she was too quick and he decided against standing strong against it.  Instead the white tom relaxed and allowed his paws to lightly swoosh from beneath him.  Making no attempt to catch himself he rolled to his shoulder and flipped his hind legs out from beneath himself as well, landing on his side and rolling to his back lightly in the grass as if the ordeal was no big deal.  Raptor let out a cackling laugh as he went, his head was filled with slick ideas now that she had gone so low.  His paws kicked up in the air he lazed in the position, shifting his head to look at the distanced she-cat.  It seemed she was worried he would retaliate, but her pathetic attempt at his patience was no worry to him, he had all the time in the world to play this game with her.  

"No wonder why the rouge group hates you all so much..." his cackle shifting to amusement.  "You clanners are quite terrible; spitting rude names, playing dirty.  Here I was thinking you were the victims, but maybe those poor outsiders really were done wrong by you." His voice a sarcastic whine before he reached his forepaws up into the air.  Sharp dark claws uncurling from his toes as he flexed in the air in a showy fashion.  How would she react to his unbothered demeanor?  Clearly he still felt he was winning, in fact he truly was quite sorry for these cats, in over their heads with the rouge enemy so highly skilled in killing as they hissed threats and played like kittens.

As he lazily rolled over, Stoatwhisker rolled her eyes. He really was just an arrogant mouse-brain, fixated on being an irritating annoyance. If he was just going to waste her time, hen she would leave. Turning on her white paws, the annoyed warrior began to walk away, trying to black out his laughter. He wasn't worth her time. 
"No wonder why the rouge group hates you all so much..."
This caused her to freeze in her tracks, curious as to what he was going to say next. 
Probably something stupid, she reminded herself, shaking her head and taking another couple of steps. 
"You clanners are quite terrible; spitting rude names, playing dirty. Here I was thinking you were the victims, but maybe those poor outsiders really were done wrong by you."
She turned slowly, hackles rising. 
"What did you just say?" she hissed, anger dripping from her mew. "How dare you think you have any idea what it is like to see your clanmates, your family killed by the very water they drink?!" 
This finally tipped her over the edge, and she leaped, claws outstretched, ready to tear the arrogant grin from his face.

The tom was going to be so sad to see her go... after all, she didn't give him any useful information and he hardly had much fun while he was here.  Oh? But his next words had captured her again.  Fun, fun.  Raptors mixed gaze watched her fur stood on end with pleasure as he snapped his paws beneath him and stood.  The tom froze there as she spoke, not in fear of her hiss, but to hold himself back from making a move to early.  A scowl crossed his maw at her words before the tom instinctively jumped backwards from her flashy advance. 

The tall feline put the thick fur that his skinny frame to use, fluffing as his back arched and long tail lashed behind him.  She had definitely just lashed out at him, Raptor would have no guilt now if she were killed, simply an act in his own defense.  This was really starting to get fun now though, if she wanted to put on a show, well he would too.  "You heard me," he spat with a venom sharp tongue.  It was the first time his tone had turned so vile towards the she-cat.  "You're right. I wouldn't know," the tom hissed as he strode close to the she-cat again, "and I wouldn't care either.  I've been on my own since the beginning, no one coddles us outsiders unless you go running to the twolegs for shelter.  Not even my family bothered to make sure I'd live, so you think I'd give a single thought to your 'family' values?"  The white toms ice-sun stare narrowed as he stood his ground in front of her now, black claws waiting for her to strike at him again.  All his annoying tactics had payed off, he was in charge of the game he'd been playing now, he could steer it in any direction he wished from here.

The white she-cat glared daggers at the tomcat, her eyes narrowed into thin slits. At this point, she had no idea how Raptor was going to react. He could chose to turn tail and flee, or he could choose to kill her. She had no way of knowing. But she would not be the one to run like a mouse-hearted coward. She would defend the honor of her clan. 
wouldn't know..wouldn't care..no one..
His vile words each bounced off of her like raindrops on spring petals. It mattered not to her if he had someone or not. Clearly, he was not desperate for companionship. In fact, he seemed proud of the fact that he had to live every second fending for himself. 
"Not even my family bothered to make sure I'd live."
This statement managed to get through Stoatwhisker's veil of anger, bringing back a memory of herself as a tiny, squirming ball of white fur, tossed away like crowfood for being too small. Too weak. Too much of a burden. 
"You think you are the only one who has had hardship?" she snarled. "Your kind are the ones who left me; a helpless kit!"
She reached a paw around him, trying desperately to claw at his ears.

Cold ice running through one eye and dangerous fire blazing in the other, the tom caught a clawful to his ear as he stood to proud to flinch away from her.  Raptor sprung forward from his close position, both paws landing on the she-cats neck as he pushed up to flip her over and onto her back.  He stumbled to regain his footing as he landed and stood over her, but still managed to replace a paw to her neck.  Even with all of his little games, this was still the rouges favorite part... the desperation.  He leaned his weight over her throat, head tilted down so she'd see his content face as she passed.  "Only I know my burden and only you know yours.  I told you I don't car-" Blood leaked heavily from his ear, more than one would expect from such minor wounds, rolling down his forehead as he glared down.  It seeped into the toms eye and blinded him, he squeezed his gaze closed instinctively to clear the liquid and protect his vision.  He blinked difficultly through the pretty red he was previously admiring, his sight discolored and blurry.  

Was it strange that when his vision was affected his mind saw something a bit clearer?  The she-cat at his paw, her ink-dipped tail he'd noticed when he'd circled round her... why was that familiar now? No memory danced around his head, nothing clear cut appearing before him, but that tail...  It was a strange feeling; like a faint smell bringing something long gone in the past back or an aftertaste holding on his palate reminding him of before.  His weight had shifted away from her neck in confusion, paw still placed firmly there though. "Your kind are the ones who left me; a helpless kit!" her words rung in his battered ear as he still battled for clear sight.  Left by outsiders as a kit?  She wasn't clan born?  Maybe he should have cared more about her story, they had to be about the same age, why did this she-cat seem so familiar suddenly?  

The white tom lifted his paw quite abruptly and spoke as he back off of her body and away from the warrior.  "I know you..." his tone had changed, not quite shaken but nearly there.  Raptors eye blinked clear of most of the blood, able to tolerate what was still left he looked confused at the she-cat he'd laid out before him.  Who was she to have such a similar past as him... left alone from the beginning, him without even a name to call himself, no parents to look to, no one to lean on not even a sib-sibling.

Stoatwhisker laid in her vulnerable position, staring up at the clearly stronger tomcat. She stared at the wound in Raptor's ear, watching it drip scarlet blood. It had been a clumsy blow, as she was blind in her anger. He should have been able to dodge. For just a moment, she struggled to get free, but his paws were keeping her down. As his face came closer to hers, she was forced to look into his different colored eyes.
One yellow...One blue...The leaf-fall grass and the sky...
She tried to hide the surprise in her gaze, which could not move from this tomcat's face. My brother...But when Raptor backed off of her, she thought she saw the same flicker of recognition.
"I know you..."
So he does see it...
"It...is possible..."

His long tail swished behind him, transparent whiskers twitching as he tilted his head to the side.  He drew in a careful breath this time, eyes narrowed on Stoatwhisker. Raptor was sure he'd never seen her in passing before, no, this familiarity was from long before he even claimed a name for himself. There was no denying their similarities, cloud-white pelts and outsider beginnings, both abandoned as kits.  The realization that she appeared to be the same age as him really made it hard to unthink the thought, a sibling?  His mind became a bit clearer, yes, a tiny kit with a black botted tail tip was with him in a distance memory he'd left behind.  It was non-important to his way of life, he'd left the thought of her behind like their parents had left them; forgotten.  Though he'd never cared to know if he had blood out there here she was now, a lost sister found.  "Do you know your parents or of any littermates?" his voice was cautious, she seemed to be on the same trail.  Did she remember him as well or had his mind fabricated old memories in his confusion?

At this point, Stoatwhisker had no idea what she was doing, or what was going on. It was not a pleasant feeling for the usually sharp-minded she-cat, having no idea what to say. 
"Do you know your parents or of any littermates?"
She stiffened, unsure of how to answer. Obviously he was well aware of the fact that she was not clan-born, thanks to her little slip up moments ago. But was he thinking..?
Wait, could that be possible? 
She knew little of her youth, having forgotten most of the time she spent away from the clan that was now her home. But.... 
"I...had siblings. Well, at least one...A tom-kit."
Stoatwhisker stared long and hard at the rogue, wondering if he was thinking the same thing she was. 
"My parents left. I imagine that he may have been abandoned elsewhere."
