She merely watched in amusement, her heart swelling with affection, as Rainfur exclaimed and pranced around. A laugh escaped her throat, bright and jingling as the love of her life looked like a kit granted with a moment of hunting training with a warrior. She looked back at him when he managed to calm himself down, though she was quickly granted a joyful rub of his cheek against hers. Oh Starclan, she would have to put up with him even more now, wouldn't she? Sure, she did love the tom, but may Starclan save her. And him. Because she was sure at some point she would claw his ears off. Not like she hasn't already threatened to do so before. At his question, she looked up at him, only a bit surprised.

"Well, I'm no player," She mused, though her eyes carried a hint of a glare. "But you won't go running after any other she-cats anymore, will you?" Her voice was playful, but her gaze was serious. Of course, she'd probably cuff him on the ear if he so much as took a pawstep after another random pretty she-cat. At least she knew that when Rainfur become devoted, he become absolutely and completely loyal. She supposed it had something to do with him being a bit of a clan outsider, especially after the whole Mistclan debacle. But he belonged here with her, that much she was completely certain. "Promise me?"

[Meow]

A deep, rumbling purr sounded in the tom's chest at the she-cat's words, unaffected by her glare. He'd been dreaming of this moment his whole life: the moment when he finally found someone he truly loved, someone he belonged with. Only days ago, he'd sworn off of she-cats completely to Barkfur, believing that he'd never get a chance to truly be happy. But, now, here he was, with Owlstar by his side. His future.

He did attempt to straighten up a bit at her question, but his stubborn smile only grew wider as she asked him to promise that he'd never chase after another she-cat. "Why would I ever chase after another she-cat when I have the best one right here?" Rainfur's eyes twinkled as he spoke. "I promise- for as long as I live, you're the only she-cat I'll ever chase after... even if you tell me to go away, I won't. You're totally and completely stuck with me, darling."

"No need to keep chasing," She purred softly, giving him a playful shove with her shoulder. "You've already caught me." She was clearly amused, but she was also reassured by his words. Rainfur had come up to her one day and told her that they were destined to be together. At the time, he'd been going off her looks. So, she set him straight and they ended up becoming friends. Then best friends. And now, he loved her for who she was, not what color her fur was. She beamed at her friend, her mate?

Who would've thought they'd end up together anyway?

She glanced at the cats she'd been talking to before, dismissing the awkward standing around with a flick of her tail. They left, and she rolled her eyes in her faint amusement. "You'd think they'd take the hint, no?" She laughed, yellow eyes flickering in the lovely light of the day. She took a few steps forward, towards the apprentices den, and beckoned Rainfur along with a twitch of her ear. "Come along, I would think that Shadowpaw would be very excited that Momstar and Dadfur are officially together."
