Jaggedstream listened as the other tom said fish was ok. The large tabby shrugged "It's not for everyone, I reckon." he meowed calmly as they began to get closer to IvyClan territory. Pebbleshade went on to comment on Jagged's original description of swimming, asking if it was only without a current. The larger warrior twitched his whiskers, pondering the thought for a quick second.
"I find it that way with both? Though, I didn't really think about it too in depth... But now I wonder if the birds have currents in the sky..." He looked up to the blue atmosphere, barely visible between the leaves above them. His green eyes then darted to the different birds that made themselves known, most trying to fly away from the presence of the cats. "Birds sure are weird, huh?" Jaggedstream let out a soft chuckle.
The hunting pair then reached the dense part of the forest, shadows flickering amongst the ground, as well as the rest of the scenery. Critters could be heard from all over. Pebbleshade had stopped, claiming this was a good place. "Looks good to me," confirmed Jaggedstream, closing his eyes and tasting the air. There wasn't too much of a breeze, but he figured he would try anyway. They might have to rely on sight and sound today..
Jaggedstream heard the squirrel loudly chatter from afar, and the warrior lazily turned his head in the general direction. He slowly and carefully placed his paws on the forest floor, mindful of twigs and other things that could alert the creatures. Step.. Step.. Step.. Eventually, he peeked over a shrub, spotting the squirrel on the ground, fending off its stash of nuts from another one of its kind. The two flicked their tails at each other, obviously too engulfed in their own dispute to notice the cats. Jaggedstream smoothly crouched down, out of sight before turning his head to Pebbleshade. "There's two of 'em, and they're both distracted. I could sneak around the back of the tree, and you could flush them up, where I could catch them as they come around the trunk. We should be able to get at least one.."
