((OOC: I'm super late but holy crap I didn't expect this thread to turn out this way))
DAISYPAW - -
The tom watched as the older apprentices giggled about tossing stones in the river. "That looks fun!" He thought, climbing up to the top to join them. He began to collect a few pebbles with his teeth to bring to them. The more the merrier!
He finally reached them with the pebbles in his mouth. They taste funny, so he collects them quickly. "Heh, hlook! I 'rought mo--" The tom was stopped in his tracks as he watched the russet tabby tom leap off the cliff. The pebbles dropped from his mouth in shock. The group of cats gather at the edge of the cliff to see him fall, but he did not.
"Somebody help! Robinpaw...he needs help!" Foxpaw cried. Daisypaw's ears pinned to the back of his head. He had never witnessed a dead cat with his own eyes. His mother went when he was too young, and he avoided the sight of his own father's passing, too. He was afraid to go near the cliff, fearing he might witness something he simply did not want to see. There was also fear that if he stepped too close, he might get sucked down and fall to his death as well.
Instead, he turned himself away from the cats, closed his eyes, and ran to the apprentice den to be alone with his thoughts.
BEEBREEZE - -
She was inside the camp when she heard her daughter's cry past the sound of crashing water. The mother stopped what she was previously doing in her tracks and ran through the camp's exit to see the body of young Robinpaw. She knew the tom very well, even nursed him when his mother would not. He mouth was agape at his mangled, lifeless body. She saw her daughter and the other cats stood above him and rushed to their sides.
"Please stay calm, young ones, please..." She gave each apprentice a few quick but reassuring licks on their forehead. "Go back in the camp. Silverfang will be here soon," Beebreeze knew well that there was no hope for the apprentice. Whether he had jumped from the cliff at his own will or not, he was gone regardless. His eyes were vague and departed already. Many young cats had witnessed this happen and she knew there would be pain for moons to come.
"If anyone needs to talk about anything, please come speak with me. Do not push your hurt aside."
