Flintpaw wandered around camp until she entered the apprentice den, it was also empty apart from a single black and white tom. She recognised him as Twilightpaw even know they'd never really spoken, "Hello Twilightpaw, quiet day today isn't it?" Flintpaw mewed as she approached the tom.

Flintpaw sat aside Twilightpaw as she calmly groomed her pelt, "How are you today?" she added with almost no emotion as she grew bored with the absence of her friend, Mottledpaw.

Butterflies were fascinating creatures. Each kind beautiful in its own way, from the colours to the patterns on their wings. Even the way they came into existence and transformed from a tiny caterpillar into a majestic flying beauty. Twilightpaw had spent the past ... little while ... observing the butterflies that had deigned to grace the Mistclan camp with their presence. It had been a while since he had the time to observe nature's wonders, so here he was - enjoying it to the fullest. Other cats had come and gone, some attempting to make conversation with the black and white tom and eventually giving up when they were met with absolutely zero acknowledgement.

Twilightpaw never meant to come off as cold or rude. Unfortunately, that was pretty much the general public view of him. Lost in his thoughts, lost in whatever his mind - in that moment - had decided to focus upon, it was next to impossible to tear his attention away. And so when Flintpaw unknowingly approached him, he responded in exactly the same way. With zero acknowledgement.

Flintpaw saw the cat was in a daze and sat beside him, "They're beautiful, aren't they?" she spoke, referring to the butterflies that Twilightpaw was gazing at. Flintpaw admired that the tom actually found beauty in the world surrounding them.

"What do you like about them?" She mewed gently as if talking to a scared kit, "I admire their beauty and ability to fly" she added cooly as she turned back to Twilightpaw who still seemed to be in a daze.
