Name: Benedict Cumbercat “Benny”
Gender: Male
Age: 40 moons
Affiliation: Kittypet
Sexuality: Heterosexual Probably
Quote: “I know that brick! Home is… uh… this way?”
Appearance: Benny is a handsome, slim Bengal tom with amber eyes.
Personality: He is a lovably goofy creature. He likes to joke around and be silly, especially around cats who seem like they are down; he almost always has a smile on his face, and most cats wouldn’t think that Benny even has the capability to be serious. He does, though, and can be compassionate and caring when he feels like he needs to be. He is a kind soul… with no sense of direction at all; he often tries to show new or lost cats around Twolegplace, yet more often than not, he gets them even more lost despite his good intentions.
Strengths:
Despite being a kittypet, Benny is a decent hunter.
Benny is extremely fast on his feet and agile. His slender frame gives him that ability. While he’s never been trained at fighting, he’s good enough to hold his own against any other untrained cat, though he will usually just run from fights (he’s kind of a pacifist) unless another cat is in danger.
Weaknesses:
His sense of direction is terrible. He gets lost all the time.
He’s quick to trust other cats, often times offering help to every cat who looks like they need it. It occasionally leads him into trouble, as many cats are hostile to kittypets. This sometimes leads him into fights that he, as a normal pacifist, flees from. Poor thing just wants to help, but often ends up getting attacked instead.
History: He’s a kittypet, owned by two women called “Short” and “Just as Short,” though he often calls the second one Jas. He often gets himself super lost, which can sometimes result in him ending up in the woods and Clan territory. Once, when he was lost like that, he met a lovely she-cat named Hungrybelly. They mated and Hungrybelly now raises their kits in IvyClan… though Benny isn’t actually aware that he has children out there somewhere.
There was a time before being adopted by his current owners, though. Benny had been adopted from a breeder along with his half sibling who he called Luna. Benny- though he had yet to receive his current name at the time- and Luna had been inseparable, playing together all the time, only stopping to eat and occasionally sleep. At the time they were adopted, Benny was 6 moons and Luna was 4. The man that had adopted them was a rough man who didn’t care for the animals, only keeping them because Bengals are interesting looking and he considered them to be manly. The man didn’t feed them enough, forcing Benny to learn to hunt on the fly in order to keep him and his sister alive. The man mistreated them, often kicking at the two young cats in anger. There were multiple times that Benny and Luna fled, only to return when they got cold and scared. Benny often reassured his sister that the man would come to care for them, just like his mother told them that housefolk would. It was never to be, though. One night, the man flew into a rage and killed Luna in front of Benny. Benny fled from the house in horror, and this time he never returned. He was ten moons at the time.
He kept himself alive by the hunting skills he had learned, crude compared to the fine art practiced by the clan cats but effective nonetheless. He mourned his sister, blaming himself for her death. He figured that if he would have fled with her, taken her far away and never returned, then that man could not have hurt them. To this day, it takes a lot longer for Benny to warm up to new housefolk because of that incident. It was the human called "Short" that took him in, allowing him into her home though letting him warm up to her at his own pace, which was very slow. He refused to even be in the same room as her to start with, but she installed a cat door on her front door and allowed him to come in and out as he pleased while always making sure he had a warm, soft place for him to sleep as well as food and water for him. She's taken in many such cats before and since, though she later moved in with her companion "Just as Short". Because of all that, Benny has a pretty high opinion of his owners and is very loyal to them.
((He is a returning character from CA and should have a badge to be able to understand housefolk))
