Despite the sun, it was still cooler in MistClan's camp due to the waterfall. The flame colored tom skipped around camp avoiding the water droplets, it had been a few moons since he was brought into the camp by Smokeshade, his papa as he called him. Flamekit ran towards the other kits excited to play however they stopped and looked at him oddly before heading off. He frowned slightly, supposedly he wasn't clan born what did that mean anyways? His mom was Cherryheart and his dad was Smokeshade he had clan parents so how wasn't he clan born? Tail dropping he padded back towards the nursery where Cherryheart and the other kits were laying.

"mum....the other kits won't play with me..." he mewed softly. His tail dragged across the den before he let out a sigh. He was just a kit...it wasn't HIS FAULT. "Smokeshade should've just....left me." The flame colored tom sighed but was quickly scuffed in the ear by the ginger she-cat, he snorted before narrowing his eyes "What was that for!?!"

"Flamekit, if you weren't meant to be here you wouldn't be. Don't let a couple of kits determine whether or not you are a warrior at heart. There are some cats who are Clan born who leave and become loners and kitty pets don't let where you come from determine who you are."

Flamekit looked up at his mother with wide eyes, boy was she smart. He ran forward and touched his nose to hers letting out a warm purr before skipping back out into the clearing. She was right, who cares if one or two kits didn't like him, he would show them! "Anyone want to play with me?!?"

Mosskit and Firekit have been rough housing for what seemed like forever. Mosskit is a slight bit bigger and is using the advantage to pin his companion to the ground. It’s a bit strange how inseparable the pair are; Firekit often uses Mosskit’s stupidity to his advantage, manipulating the more simple kit into being a distraction that more often than not ends with Mosskit getting in trouble. Even so, Firekit would defend his denmate from anything and Mosskit would do the same. The two are rarely found apart.

Of course, just because they are close doesn’t mean the play fighting occasionally gets rough. Luckily for Firekit, Flamekit’s voice distracts Mosskit from the battle. Mosskit turns his head, shifting his weight to try and see who the voice is coming from. At the sight of their slightly younger clanmate, Mosskit’s expression breaks into a big smile. “I’ll play with you-” He starts to call to Flame before Firekit interrupts him.

Using the momentary distraction and the fact that Mosskit’s weight shifted, Firekit kicks with his hind legs with all the force his slender limbs can muster. Mosskit squeaks in surprise as kick throws him off balance, allowing Firekit to shove Moss to the ground and sit on top of his slightly larger nephew. “We’ll play with you.” Firekit corrects Mosskit, letting Flamekit know that both the toms will join him. Fire trots over to Flame as Moss picks himself up with a huff and follows. “What do ya wanna play?” Fire gives a big grin to Flame; no worries, Fire and Moss won’t get rough with their denmate unless Flame starts it.

Ever since she had admitted her fondness for Smokeshade, and discovered that he shared her feelings, Lilycloud had felt as light as her name would imply. They were nose-over-tail in love with one another, and all felt right with the world. 
Her pleasant daydream came to a close when she heard the voice of Flamekit, the former rogue kitten that she and Sokeshade had rescued. Lilycloud knew that he saw Cherryheart as his mum, which was only natural, as se was the one nursing him. Despite this, she still hoped to be a confidant, or at least a friend, to the kit.
After all, he is the adopted son of the cat I love. 
She smiled gently, and made her way over to him, just as she noticed Firekit and Mosskit doing the very same. 
He seems to be doing quite well for himself. Firekit and Mosskit are good kits.

Silverkit looked up from the pebble he was pawing around, batting it into a corner for safe-keeping as he heard Flamekit ask for anyone to play with, following his brother Mosskit and his friend Firekit. "Hey! Hey I wanna play too!" the little grey tom chirped, bounding over, "If you'll let me, I mean! I have a cool rock we could bat around or, or, uh, whatever you three wanted to do." He let out a sheepish little mew, but his eyes were bright with kindness. He slips in by his two denmates, laying down and rolling over next to them.

"What kinda games do you like?" he followed up Firekit's question with one of his own, rolling onto his belly and reaching out a playful paw to gently brush at Flamekit's whiskers. A new friend to play with would be... super fun! Flamekit was only a little smaller than him and his siblings, way more fun than the other new kits had been lats moon- they were so tiny and they didn't like to roughhouse at all!

Cloverkit was practicing on grooming her long, soft fur when playful mewls distracted her. She paused mid-lick, pricking her ears and looking over at where the noise had come from. There, she saw her brothers, Mosskit and Silverkit, and then Firekit talking to Flamekit. She decided to go check it out, being the curious kit she was, and trotted over to them. Clover caught the words "What kinda games do you like?" from Silverkit, speaking to Flamekit. She shoved her way in between Firekit and Mosskit, grinning.
"Don't leave me out! I wanna play too!" She playfully batted at Firekit's ears before turning her attention to Flamekit.
"I'm Cloverkit! You're Flamekit, right?"

Flamekit's eyes sparked as a bunch of kits came over! His tail waived around playfully excited to be able to play with some of his clan mates. His mom was right! He purred warmly looking back towards the nursery and she gave him a soft nod of approval. "I like to play tag! I play tag with my siblings a lot!" He mewed warmly. He looked at Mosskit before running over to the tom and tagging him with his paw. "You're it!!! Come catch me!" He mewed trotting away. He was so excited he had all these friends now, boy oh boy would his siblings be jealous! He let out a big grin excited to have all these new friends and soon it wouldn't be long until they were apprentices together too! This was very exciting! His mother was right, he couldn't wait to tell his dad about all the new friends he made today!

Firekit looks towards Silverkit, his red eyes gleaming as he purrs a greeting to Mosskit’s brother.As Cloverkit pushes her way into the group; Firekit purrs a greeting to her too, his tail flicking back and forth as the group grows into quite a big pack of playful kits.

Firekit’s attention quickly snaps back to Flamekit as his new playmate declares that he loves tag and springs towards Mosskit. With a scree of joy, Firekit leaps away from Mosskit towards the direction that Flamekit looks like he is headed.

Mosskit has a big grin on his face as first Silverkit and then Cloverkit joins them. He purrs at each of his beloved siblings as they join him and Firekit in front of Flamekit. As such, Mosskit is distracted looking from Silverkit to Cloverkit as Flamekit declares tag to be the game of choice. Mosskit blinks as Flamekit tags him… it takes a moment for recognition of what’s happening light up in Moss’ eyes. With a giggle, Mosskit bats at Silverkit to tag him before leaping back.
