She knew. She knew what was going on. Dewshine had felt bad last weeks, and for a few days she'd actually been throwing up. Nasty stuff, but while in the medicine den Silverfang confirmed her suspicions. Later, visiting the queens of all cats, they too confirmed it. And now that she was beginning to get bigger, there was no shred of any doubt anymore. And as such, she decided to move into the nursery soon. Soon meaning in a day or so. With that, of course, she was gonna have to tell Shrewjaw. This was amazing, this was great!

So there she was, walking by his side in the meadow they both loved so much. It was already late, the sun was setting. Dewshine wanted this to be romantic. This was good news, of course, it needed to be said in the best way ever! That night, the queen had asked her mate to come to the meadow with her, without telling why. They did long sunset walks often, but this was gonna be a special one. Her first litter! After so long! She brushed up against Shrewjaw and stopped walking. Now that she stopped, she could feel her muscles ache. ''Shrewy, have you noticed anything different about me lately?'' She purred as she sat down. Dewshine was actually a bit curious if her mate suspected anything yet. The weak sun shined on the couple and a calm dusk breeze flew through. This was really romantic, even more than she had hoped, which was amazing!

Shrewjaw

After spending the day joining in on a hunting patrol, Shrewjaw was glad to have a break and spend time with his mate. While he did enjoy hunting and helping out his clan, he also liked to be near Dewshine. They had been separated from patrols more frequently and he had suspicions about why, but brushed them off. Everyone deserved a chance to go on patrols, he couldn't always be on them with his mate he thought. Now he was walking alongside her, feeling content, a purr rumbling deep in his chest as he intertwined their tails.

Looking to her as she spoke, Shrewjaw tilted his head. "Anything d-different?" He repeated softly, a look of concern etched on his face now. What did she mean? The ginger tom looked her up and down and his fur felt hot with embarassment as well for not noticing anything at all before now and even now. She looked stunning as ever. "Are you okay?" He blurted worriedly, sniffing her. The faint scent of milk that his brain didn't register yet. He sat beside her, eyes wide as he gazed into hers. "What...what's up? What's goin' on Dew?"
