"Rainkit, until you have received your warrior name, you will now be known as Rainpaw, Scorpionfang, may you pass down your quick thinking and strength in battle to this apprentice." Scorpionfang was still shocked she had received her first apprentice so young. It was a blessing and a curse, but perhaps it would keep her mind from wandering. Every night she went to the dark forest, she was getting bulky, but scarred up at the same time, but when the time came, she would be better use too her clan. I just can't let the dark forest cats know this... She had seen others there, some from IvyClan, others from MothClan, she had always kept a low profile not wanting to give herself away to others. It would take just one cat to open their mouth for her plan to be ruined.
There was a slight drizzle today, a light mist setting in over the meadows, but Scorpionfang was stoic, and didn't mind getting wet or at least she didn't express her distaste for her wet pelt. She shook the droplets off and continued onward. She had let Rainpaw know to track her to their training location, that would be his first task. She didn't tell him where she was going, or what they would be doing. She left a little before sun high and told the tom to find her. Here she was standing in the tall grass, which tickled her black pelt. One blue eye, the other amber stared straight into the mist, waiting to see, or hear the tom coming in.
The mist made things much more difficult to not only navigate, but scents mingled, a wet scent was as good as gone unless you knew exactly what you were doing. She curled her lips into a coy smile, sure she was a new warrior herself, receiving Rainpaw as her apprentice shortly after her own ceremony, but that didn't reflect her ability to train, and turn him into a good MistClan warrior. With her battle training from the dark forest, and training from her previous mentor, Rainpaw would be a good asset to MistClan, she would make sure of it.
