Gingerbrook wasn't one to stay clean for very long, between her hunting in undergrowth or digging up bedding things just never seemed to stay clean around her. This time it was a hunting trip, her third one that day in fact. With Greenleaf being the season all kinds of critters were right there for the taking. Hunting in undergrowth was also her favorite thing to do, after all it was much easier to sneak up on prey when under the cover of leaves rather than open grass. She had a nice fat groundhog kit, it was just a bit to slow and she had gotten up in a tree before the momma could even touch her. It was a nice kill, even if the fur was a bit thick on it. She thought it was a nice hunk of meat at the very least, and now she was on her way back to camp.

Having just come back from her hunt she was a bit tired and covered in a nice thin layer of leaves, dirt, and grime. She didn't quite care though, it wasn't like she was gonna die from a little dirt. Instead she was wondering where a good place to sit down and eat was. She decided it would be near the mouth of the water fall, a beautiful view and a nice fresh kill? What could make the day even better!

Mosskit feels like he’s in StarClan- in a good way. Any day now and he’ll become an apprentice along with his siblings and young aunts and uncles. He just can’t wait to getting a mentor and getting his new name and getting to explore outside of camp and… and… everything else! Usually Mosskit is busy being an unwitting accomplice to whatever trouble Firekit is creating, but Firekit is sleeping at the moment so Mosskit is free to happily wander around the camp.

Mosskit’s eyes find a warrior near the mouth of the waterfall, covered in dirt but enjoying a fresh catch. His green eyes widen with curiosity; soon, he’ll be able to hunt too! But… what if he could get this warrior to teach him her secrets? If he started his first day as an apprentice already knowing a couple things about hunting, he might be able to impress ihs mentor… whoever that mentor might end up being.

He trots up to Gingerbrook, looking a bit bashful almost. “Hey um, I was wondering if you might try to teach me some hunting stuff! Please?” His voice is soft as he tries to politely ask; his mother and grandmother have taught him manners at least.
