Crow has strong, noble-looking features, including compact and neat paws as well as a long and ever so slightly crooked nose. His skull is long and slim, and his ears are set somewhat far back relative to the rest of his face. He has a wide mouth and a deep, strong jaw and chin that blend smoothly down into his thick neck. He has large, out-ward pointing almond shaped eyes that are a soft and pleasant green tone.
His pelt is downy soft where the undercoat comes through, though the upper layer is slightly coarser; his neck, face, and legs are especially dusty soft. In color, Crow is a mix of smokey greys and velvet-like sleek black, with dim hints of dark brown. His head and back are dark, and another band of black "gloves" wrap around his shoulders and cover his legs- his toes are very slightly lighter. By contrast, his hind-legs, tail, and neck are the palest areas, being a light ash grey color.

Crow is overall an optimistic and high-spirited cat, avoiding misery by trying to live carefree and find the humor in things when possible. He has faced significant loss in his early life, including all three of his littermates, so he felt that he had to move on both for his parents' sake and to honor his siblings' memories.
Because he far prefers to avoid conflict and shoot the breeze instead of another person, he can tend to shirk responsibility and has a bit of a habit of avoiding things he isn't looking forward to by going "hunting"- which really just means walking in the sunlight, because he's quite bad at actually hunting.
Chipper and friendly, he adores his many younger siblings and tries to be a good older brother and set a good example when around them and other younger cats, pretending to be busy with very important tasks and acting serious as long as he can manage to before cracking a smile and offering to play extreme mossball.
Don't let his pleasant smile and easy-going speech deceive- he was raised and trained as a home-guard, and he knows very well how to make use of his claws and his wits to confuse and injure those who threaten his family or his clan.

Laughing Crow at Sunrise was named for a passing crow the morning of his birth day, as his smooth black pelt reminded Swan of its glossy feathers. He was born with two brothers, Pigeon and Wren, and a sister, Robin. They grew up together happily, the first of what would one day be many children in their family.
However, when they were all somewhat young, Wren and Pigeon unfortunately succumbed to a bought of greencough one leaf-bare, leaving Crow and Robin to mourn their two brothers- however, they still had each other, and their grieving was eased by their shared experiences. Misfortune pecked at Crow again just a few moons later, though, when Robin was killed by a badger in the territory while hunting with a few others. Crow receded, becoming shy and withdrawn for many moons and even getting in trouble for spending too much time in Stonehome and not enough outside, helping the clan stay safe and fed.
When Swan and Raven had their second litter, he was slowly drawn out of his sadness. Crow began to resume his duties as well as he had before, and while he still sorely missed being able to playfully tease Pigeon or compete with Wren and Robin, it warmed his heart to think of Heron, Pheasant, and Dove being safe and warm and fed at camp in part because of his efforts to help the Tribe. He watched them grow up happily, returning to his old self and joking whenever he could. When the war with the clans happened, he lost another sibling as Dove fell in battle, and he took up a protective attitude towards the remaining two. He himself got a nasty scar across his nose during the fight, slammed against a tree by a large clan cat hard enough that his nose is ever so slightly off-center.
His affectionate burden as the oldest was eased slightly when the arrival of a third litter of siblings made Heron and Pheasant middle children, and he stepped back a little in the family politics to become more independent, less afraid of losing his new family members. After all, if a whole storm couldn't snatch Hawk away to the Tribe of Endless Hunting, Crow doubted anything but age could.
Crow has been living peacefully since until the tribe was forced to move by human excavation.
