APPEARANCE: {shorthair chocolate tabby with a high degree of white, big ears, and mismatched eyes}
Hopbird has a wiry build, with a contrasting plump face and a pair of almost silly big ears atop his head. He is covered in a short, often just a little unkempt, coat of somewhat coarse, hare-like fur. His pelt is covered almost entirely in white, with only some splotches on his face, tail-tip, and sides revealing the brown tabby pattern hidden underneath. His short whiskers are black. The left eye is robin egg blue, and the right is a warm yellow-gold color. His paws are neat and tidy but not especially large or small.
He has a bright, loud voice that is hard to ignore.

PERSONALITY:

Taking after his father's goober personality, being chipper, outgoing, and, above all else, very energetic. This is a cat that hardly seems to get tired so much as suddenly stop from a full 100 to a 0 for a nap and then get up and go again immediately. His seemingly boundless energy can make it hard for him to focus on just one thing at a time, even if he really did want to.
Raised by a friendly pair of cats, Hopbird is very social, and enjoys making friends, talking to others, and just in general being involved with others and checking in on things. He's got a mouth that can go a mile a minute, and a head that struggles to keep up, but he's always aiming to leave a good impression, even if others can sometimes find him a bit.. much.
Never one to take himself too serious, Hopbird is a bit of a class clown, taking his failures in stride and turning frustration into humor. Of course, he can tend to grow lazy and avoid improvement or hard work by instead amusing himself and others with acrobatics and little games.
Yet, he does know what needs to be done. Even if he can take a while to get around to it, or figure out his own path, Hopbird is self-driven enough to accomplish his goals with the help of his parents, siblings, and mentor to teach him how to avoid getting distracted so much.

HISTORY:
Born to Cicadawish and Cricketjump of IvyClan, alongside four siblings- three brothers and a single sister- in early Spring. They are among the first kits born under the new leadership of Rookstar.
He trained under IvyClan's new leader, Heronstar, immediately after Rookstar's death and his brother Twitchkit's first glimpse at how bad his condition could become. This would instill Hopbird with a sense of protectiveness and worry about his brother.
He earned the warrior name of Hopbird in the very beginning of Leaf-Fall, for his motivation and self-reliant nature. He considers Heronstar as a rolemodel even still, and will always sort of think of her as his mentor long after his training concluded. Each of his siblings also received their names- Flickerflame, Fidgetspin, Twitchwing, and Skipstone.
