APPEARANCE: {tall, longhair chocolate mink with white specks and uneven legs}
Turkeykit has a dense pelt of wispy cool brown fur, paler on his torso and throat but darkening to a subtle earthy brown on his feet, face, ears, and tail. Like little patches of snow, his earth-tone fur is interrupted by splotchy white socks on his front paws, and a smattering of white markings on his face that come together as a larger patch on his right cheek. His fur is lighter in weight than it looks, being more puffy than silky, but drags him down a lot when wet and as a result he has a mild fear of swimming and water in general. His rounded eyes are a gentle, pale sapphire blue and catch the sunlight a little funny, reflecting red off of his pupil in the bright light due to their color. He has relatively long brown whiskers. His skin is a dusty rose brown, darkening to nearly black at his nose and paw-paws.
Of course, one of the most striking things about this young tom are his odd legs. His front pair is shorter than average, not quite munchkin-like, while his hind pair is just a bit taller than usual, giving him a weirdly stilted stance and making him look like he's always stretching his rump in the air. Sometimes he tries to walk with his hind legs half-crouched to look more normal, but it's not great for his joints. He can run and jump just fine, but has to do some additional calculations when pouncing due to the disparity between his front and hind limbs.
His compact muzzle contains an exuberant, slightly rough voice- picture a typical shounen mange/anime protagonist, like Ash Ketchum or Naruto. That's about how he sounds.

PERSONALITY:

Turkeykit is a friendly cat by nature, being quite social and extroverted, tending to be a bit on the loud side but usually meaning well. He just gets very excited by the prospect of meeting more potential friends. Even so, he has a bit of a devious streak, being fond of pranks, tricks, and white-lies. He's quick to apologize if he goes to far, but he seems to have a hard time just... not doing the pranks in the first place, which would save everyone a lot of trouble.
Luckily, he's fairly thick-skinned, able to handle criticism with grace, while being largely impervious to any potential revenge pranks or spiteful remarks himself. However, it's a bit more than that- Turkeykit is also a bit arrogant, and a lot of criticism he takes well simply because he doesn't think they're right and can't be bothered to argue about it. He seems to think he's a bit of an action hero in his own personal story. Even so, he can set aside his pride to be more diplomatic when situations become serious or someone's been genuinely hurt, and he's empathetic to others, understanding somewhat innately when they're upset even if he can't fully sympathize due to lack of experience in life.
Of course, being born in the plentiful moons of New-Leaf, he's loathe to drop that lifestyle. Turkeykit will always be a little indulgent when he can get away with it, sneaking an extra little mouse for lunch or spending some of his supposed patrol and training time sunning or frisking around the territory on a personal adventure.

Born to Swanstream and Ravenbranch shortly after the Tribe of Ancient Roots moved to the clan territories and became RootClan, he is among the first litter of kits to be given a clan-style name at birth. He has three brothers- Jaykit, Thrushkit, and Kitekit- and two sisters- Shrikekit and Cranekit.
