The new cats in the area were, hm... Interesting. Tormund had met clan cats before and he always found conversations with them to at least be amusing. They had funny terms for things. Warriors, medicine cats, StarClan - it was all very strange. Their healers certainly seemed to have a wealth of knowledge, though, and Tormund very much wanted to ask them some questions about it. That was why he was currently on the territory of one of the clans. He didn't know which group it belonged to but with any luck he would find himself bumping into a cat collection herbs.

But today luck didn't seem to be on his side. Instead of who he had hoped to find himself meeting, Tormund ended up wandering into the path of a rather large, ah, what was the term? Warrior, yes? Oh dear. The loner was not one to be easily intimidated, but he knew when he had no chance in a fight - and this was certainly one of those times.

Right. What to do, what to do... He could run, but then there was always the risk of being caught. With fighting out of the question, the only option left was attempt to look harmless and talk his way out of trouble. That wasn't an issue, mind you. Tormund was used to this kind of situation.

"Hello. You are one of these clan fellows, yes?" Tormund greeted, stepping forwards while also doing his best to show in his body language that he meant no harm. "I fear that perhaps I am a little lost..."

A massive dark tom padded in the hunting part of his Clan's territory, planning with determination to catch a more than decent meal for some cat in his pride. Usually, one would assume that the tom would stay in his den in the morning until it was time to go out and order patrols. But, knowing food was always needed, Wolfclaw had decided to go hunting.

The sun hadn't risen yet, so he still had some time to hunt before he began to head back and start the day. The wind gently ruffling the dark fur on his magnificent figure, Wolfclaw padded across the grassy floor, in the part of the territory where the Clan sometimes hunted. Sniffing and observing the ground all in front of him, he noticed a little area of grass that was dented, seeming to be where a large animal had laid down and he sniffed the area, identifying the animal as a badger, though the smell reeked of adolescence. Ears now perked, he began moving forward, following the scent, though this time his steps weren't as loud or firm and he made sure he made no noise as he progressed. As soon as he heard shuffling, he immediately crouched to the ground, moving forward slowly with his tail hovering above the ground as to avoid making noise, soon spotting the animal. It was a female badger, a plump one too, which would make her a bit easier to hunt as she would be slower, and it meant she was tastier. Plus, she was a young one, meaning she had little experience and would be a bit more clumsy. Stalking the beast, he got as close as he could, stopping when he couldn't go farther as to avoid being seen. Then he charged and, pouncing, his claws dug into the hard, firm back of his prey to trap the badger before his teeth latched onto its neck, biting incredibly hard with a bite force stronger than that of an average cat's. The badger rolled and crushed Wolfclaw under her, causing the brute to grunt before he moved away. He growled fiercely, watching the beaver's slower movements as it was losing a lot of blood from his bite. He snarled before charging, biting at it. During the fight, the large animal attempted to bite at his left leg, though they failed as he dodged out just in time. This just made him enraged, snarling loudly, and he noticed the weary movements of the beaver and took his chance. He charged forward and dug his long and incredibly sharp sabers into the throat of the big beast. In a matter of moments, the massive feline had killed the weaker animal with his powerful bite.

Seeing the sun slowly creeping over the horizon, Wolfclaw thanked StarClan for the kill before he grabbed it, beginning to walk back to camp with the animal dragging behind him, knowing it would be wise to be there when the morning began. But, the scent of an unknown cat wafted across his nose, causing him to follow the strange smell. Hidden behind a large tree, the massive cat set down the badger before padding into the clearing where the loner stood, his back facing Wolfclaw.

Soon enough, the smaller cat turned around, almost running into the warrior. Wolfclaw's face remained terrifying and expressionless as he watched the male, listening to him speak. His massive jaws parting for him to yawn as he stood there, his terrifying sharp teeth revealed. He had an extraordinary figure. He was incredibly large with firm, rock-hard muscles under his long, soft fur, though his muscles were very much visible, and his legs thick yet supple. His saber-teeth were knife-sharp and very long. And his claws were slightly longer than normal but incrediby sharp. Wolfclaw was mainly composed of dark colors, with a bit of white. He had many scars from all the battles he'd fought in his life, not taking away any of the attractiveness of the male, just adding to his already respectable and terrifying aura. His eyes were an intimidating, striking, and yet captivating yellow that could easily disturb and scare some animal as he stared into one's eyes as if staring into their soul.

Wolfclaw cleared his throat, "Who are you?" he asked, his voice deep, masculine, and booming, like thunder.

"I'm nobody important. Just a wanderer, passing through in no particular direction." Tormund responded, doing his best to appear non-threatening. If he had to, he reckoned that he could out run this cat - what with him being the smaller of the two of them, and therefore the more likely to be nimble. An actual fight, though? He'd definitely lose that. Physical confrontation needed to be avoided at all costs.

During his life, Tormund had been in situations like this many times before. He didn't always come out come out on top, of course. That was fine, though; he knew how to heal himself. As long as he didn't instantly get torn apart, the loner was confident that he could survive this, even if he did come out of it with a new scar or two.

But he'd rather that it didn't come to that. Conflict was so tedious. No, he'd much rather sort this out with words.

"My name is Tormund. I'm not a threat. I am honestly just passing through." He didn't even like this part of the local territories so much. Tormund much preferred the area to the east where there was less trees and even a comfortable barn for him to nap in.

Muscles flexed firm beneath the massive warrior's pelt as he stood there, watching and listening to the loner as he spoke. His long, fluffy tail lashed in annoyance as the smaller tom avoided speaking his name, his terrifying yellow eyes narrowing ever so slightly, contrasting against his near pitch black face. Sharp claws kneaded the ground from massive paws as he waited.

Finally, the stranger spoke his name. Tormund.. Hm.. What an odd name. But, then again, Wolfclaw was used to Clan names such as his own, so it was natural a name like Tormund seemed strange to him. Taking note of the loner's extremely non-threatening and harmless body language, the large tom moved forward. "Loners know not to pass through Clan territory, especially IvyClan's," he said, tail waving behind him in quick, swift movements. "Tormund." he finished, his tongue swiping against his black maw, where inside lay sharp teeth that were of a longer than average length, making them not hidden beneath his charcoal lips.

As much as Wolfclaw would naturally tend to get violent, he knew that he shouldn't. His Clan was under the rule of his father anymore, no reason for him to let Scarpelt's harsh rules go on past his much-deserved death. "I will let you live, this time," he said, putting a slight emphasis on the last two words. "But," he began, one of his large paws stepping over the smaller pawprint of the loner as he moved forward only slightly, though not too close to Tormund. "If you are ever caught on ivyClan territories again, there will be punishments." he said, his voice deep and brooding, not one to forget.

Wolfclaw planned on escorting the loner out of the territory. "What direction are you heading?" he asked, his face stoic and expressionless in a rather terrifying manner as he stood there, his left ear flicking every once in awhile.

This cat was dangerous. Tormund noted that information and made a mental note to not cross paths with him again - especially not within his own territory. Was he a typical example of one of these clan cats? Hopefully not, because if he was then the loner was going to have to spend time elsewhere. Maybe the place with all the twolegs to the south would be more welcoming? It was made up of less forest, but it was possible that the other cats there could be friendlier.

But first, Tormund wanted to go west. "I heard there was a farm nearby? I think I would like to go in that direction." The brown tom decided. A farm usually meant a barn, and a barn meant somewhere comfortable to sleep and mice to eat. Plus, Tormund heard that there was a clan there too. Perhaps they were friendlier than this example of a warrior?

"To be honest, though, I don't really mind what direction I go in. Perhaps not south for now, though. I hear there is another clan down there that can be incredibly unfriendly? It's part of the reason why I'm travelling here instead of over there. I heard that they were lead by a cat called Moth?" And perhaps this clan was lead by an Ivy, seeing as it was apparently IvyClan. Hm. Tormund would find out about it later, he decided. He'd ask another cat about it, though. This fellow didn't seem like the type that would be happy to answer questions.

wolfclaw's pink tongue swept across his black maw, revealing his long and rather impressive sharp fangs. They were longer than the average cat's, though he didn't get the genes from his mother or father, so no one really understood where his long teeth came from. Massive paws kneaded against the dirt floor of his territory as he waited for the brown tom to come to a decision.

Hearing mention of a farm, the large warrior nodded. "I know the place. Its a twoleg farm northwest of here, in MistClan territory." he said, his voice deep and rumbling like thunder. Tail lashing behind him, Wolfclaw was ready to move in that direction.

The large warrior looked at the tom as he stood a bit indecisive. "I don't care where you go. My job is to escort you to the border. So choose which direction." he said, bluntly honest per usual. He wasn't the type to withhold opinions of others, especially negative ones, though some exceptions could be made for positive ones.

Wolfclaw looked at Tormund as he spoke of an unfriendly Clan south. "That's MothClan. Though I'm sure you'll be pleased most warriors aren't like me, not even my own Clan is." he spoke, left ear flicking regardless of the notch in it. He was different than most, and that included even those in IvyClan. Usually, cats were a bit more open than he, but it was what it was.

"I'll bring you in the direction of the farm." he said, deciding for the brown loner. It was his territory after all, or at least his Clan's. With that, the colossal tom began to move northwest, towards the border they shared with MistClan, where he'd leave the loner to continue.
