A large, fluffy kitten was pressed tightly against her mother, and her eyes flickered around a bit uneasily. What if something attacked her mother? As a bird outside of the den gave a squack, it sent little Heronkit jumping into the air and causing her hair to stand on end, literally blinding her with fur. Her ears pinned back, and she tried to remain calm. Oh no... oh no... what if the bird was gonna eat her? The feline would not like to be eaten, thank you very much, and took a step back with slight terror at the thought. Bumping back into her mother, she lunged forwards and tumbled over her siblings before landing on her face in the dirt.

Elk-kit squealed as her larger sibling to bales over her, knocking her down. She stood, furious before noticing her sibling face first in the dirt. She let out a squeal of fear, charging forwards to begin sniffing her larger sibling down. "Okay?" Her tiny voice was barely heard, muffled by the thick fur of her littermate as she snuffed her down. Already she was learning small words, simple words like that. She pulled back, staring at her sibling with wide eyes.

The ginger kitten had been nestled up in momma’s fur, not asleep but resting, but little Lionkit raises his head as a light thump sounds near him as his sister stumbles over herself to get away from… something. It doesn’t matter, Lionkit is here! The tiny defender quickly (or as quickly as he can considering that he is a small and his legs are a bit wobbly) scurries over to his distressed sister.

“What’s wrong?” He asks in a squeaky kitten voice along with Elkkit. The orange kit tilts his head to the side as he quickly glances around for anything that could have caused Heron to freak out. He sees nothing.
