Eveningblaze had managed to come home safely, and with him all of the cats that went missing. Most were okay, or seemed to be okay all but one. His eyes trailed to the rise and fall of Brackenstar who lay curled in his nest. Cedarleap was in and out of his den, running in and out with different herbs. Whatever the leader had, hopefully it wouldn’t spread and they could keep it contained. The tom pushed himself to his paws, going to where he stood once before where he made Batstrike his temporary deputy while Brackenstar was away. He had done good, and although he wouldn’t admit it, was proud of the young tom.
”Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey gather here for a clan meeting. His voice echoed across the camp, as cats came running from their dens, a large group of apprentices stood at the front, despite Brackenstar being ill, clan life had to go on. While he rested, the two discussed warrior names for the bunch and he felt that each name was unique to their own personalities. ”We have a bunch of apprentices who have trained hard, and upheld the warrior pledge, thus it is time for them to become FULL warriors of MothClan.” He could hear the mews of excitement with all the bad news as of late they needed something good. MothClan was strong and would continue to get strong.
His eyes fell on Lambcurls kits each quite unique and different from each other. His eyes landed on Eggpaw, he was aware the tom couldn’t smell and seemed to enjoy textured objects. He nodded slowly knowing this name would be perfect for the flighty tom. ”Eggpaw, from this day forward you will be known as Eggfeather, as a warrior, balance and stability are important, remember this.” He gave a curt nod before moving onto the next sibling.
His eyes shifted to Fennelpaw, quiet, reserved. He lifted his head before giving a firm nod. ”Fennelpaw, I few apprentices have found comfort from you, yet from eyes of those who dot know you, quiet and reserved you appear to be. From this day forward, I name you Fennelmist. “ He quite liked that name, mist was quiet and mysterious, quite like fog, but more gentle and subtle. It was a perfect name for her.
He looked at Gossamerpaw and knew his bold, and independent personality would shine well in the warriors den. ”Gossamerpaw, you are brave, and independent rarely asking for help from others, however, it is important to also remember that we are one, and not to let you brave heart become wreckless. From this moment forward I name you Gossamerheart.” The traditional name was quite suiting for him, and he only hoped he would live up to the high expectations he had for him in the future.
He couldn’t help but give a coy smile to Mountainpaw. He had heard about all the horrible pranks that had been played. ”Mountainpaw, from this moment forward you will be known as Mountainstrike. It is time to use your wit, and sneaky personality to strike your opponents, not your den mates. “ Mountainstrike was a sneaky cat, something that MothClan had a lot of lately, and he couldn’t wait to see what the future held for this new warrior.
The last of the siblings was Fluffpaw, despite her name always found herself in a mud puddle of some sort, splashing her fur with mud, rather dramatic she was needing trying to steal the spotlight from all of her siblings. It reminded him very much of Weevilpaw and Mantispaw, and he couldn’t wait until they were warriors as well. ”Fluffpaw from this day forward you will be known as Flufftail. Balance is key in the life of a warrior.” The black tom nodded firmly as he watched each of the new warriors step back excited about their new names but there was still three more to be named.
He fell on two MistClan siblings, each totally different, one cold, and spiteful, yet strong and sturdy, the other, high energy, fearful of others, but could easily be strong if not so distracted. He could feel the intense energy the two gave off, they would be fine warriors for MothClan. ”Birchpaw and Cottonpaw, you came to us from MistClan, yet you have proved your loyalty to MothClan time and time again, learning our ways and becoming VERY fierce. Cottonpaw, I give you the name Cottoneyes, remember…not everyone or everything appears to be what you see. Birchpaw, I name you Birchfrost. Cold at first, but can melt with a warm sun, and strong.” …strong enough to kill…. He let the though go before turning to one last apprentice who was ready to earn his warrior name.
The tom was a bit odd to say the least, had exact numbering of everything…always using energy to build a nest. He knew he had been distracted as an apprentice but from what his mentor had told him, he was learning to use his energy in a more focused manner. ”Frozenpaw, from this day forward you will be Frozenspark. Use your bursts of energy to help your comrades in Battle, I know you will.” As the cheering died down he spotted two young cats, eager to prove they had what it took to become warriors.
”Chick-kit, you have reached your 6th moon of age. Ruststripe has done good caring for you teaching you our ways, from this day forward you will be known as Chickpaw. Ruststripe will continue to mentor you. She follows her heart at all times, and I know she will pass this on to you.” He had seen the trust the two of them had formed, he felt It would be ideal for them to continue to teach each other.
From the shelter, Milkberry and had reunited with a relative, a tom who had named himself Onionpaw. Normally Eveningblaze would have said no to an outsider but there was something about him that made Eveningblaze perhaps be more open to the idea of letting outsiders in. Perhaps, Rosepaw also helped with that. ”Onionpaw until you reach your 12th moon of age you will be an apprentice. I have chosen Patchfrost to be your mentor” He mewed.
With a flick of his tail, he dismissed the meeting, there seemed to be no dangers in their territory any longer. He had patrolled the surroundings himself, they were safe once more and growing strong. It was t ime for him to return to his duties as deputy, and that meant pushing for more territory, his clan was looking hungry, tired, yet every moon with new ceremonies it seemed to spark an energy in all of them, and for that he was proud.
ooc: I remember mew wanting to bring Onionpaw to MothClan from the shelter if this has changed I'll just remove it
