Jaysong grunted, head held high as she struggled with the moss in her jaws. She set it down in a growing pile between the nursery and elders' den, a pile of materials to strengthen the dens next to it. Satisfied, Jaysong nodded her head curtly to herself, breath misty on the chilly air. She briefly shivered before realising somebody was approaching her. "Hello, Jaysong! Can I help?" Elk-kit asked, stumbling over to the medium furred she-cat. The smell if herbs clung to her pelt, implying she had been in the medicine cat den again.
Unable to say no, Jaysong smiled. "Sure!" She purred. "Wait... what are we doing?" Elk-kit asked, picking out a stick as big as her. "Repairing the dens and changing out the nests. We'll need to get feathers for the elders and the queens though. Leave that to me." Jaysong instructed before taking a pile of sticks in her jaws and leading the dilute tortie into the elders' den. "You pass me sticks when I say so." Jaysong instructed, smiling as Elk-kit nodded, looking proud of her job. With that, Jaysong sat in front of a particularly weak part of the den, weaving sticks in out of each other with careful paws, a skill she learnt in IvyClan thanks to Greyears complaints. Once satisfied, she moved to the next part, Elk-kit always near by and handing her sticks when needed. This was what it meant to be a warrior. And Jaysong loved doing this. Preparing stuff, spoiling her clanmates so they were warm. She smiled lightly, humming a tune as she worked.
