 Elk-kit carried her head as high as she could, throwing her paws out in front of her as she struggled to drag the small mouse to the medicine cat den. Determination was in her eyes as she made her way to the den, smiling. Once there, she dropped the mouse, panting.  "Cedarleap? I got you a mouse! I thought you'd be hungry." She called, sitting down. She never realizes how bitterly cold it was until she was out of the wind and in the comforting smell and warmth of the den. Heck, she couldn't even feel her toes. She had questions for the medicine cat now too.

Cedarleap pricked her ears as she heard tiny paws and a dragging noise.
Turning her head, she saw sweet Elkkit dragging a mouse that was threatening her to trip and fall.
"Cedarleap? I got you a mouse! I thought you'd be hungry."
She smiled at the kit and hobbled over to her,
"Thank you, Elkkit! It's a quite cold day today, isn't it?"
She took the mouse and put it near her nest then went back to Elkkit.
"Is that all?"
The medicine cat had seen the curious gaze in her forest green eyes, she must have questions.

"Why is it so cold put, Cedarleap? Does it affect the herbs?" Elk-kit asked, looking at the munchkin cat. She loved how short the medicine cat was, she didn't have to sprain her neck looking up! She wrapped her tail around her, head tilting a bit as she gazed at the medicine cat.

"Not really. Since most of the herbs are in cracks in the walls of my den, and it's pretty warm in here."
"I have to make sure to stock up on catmint for leaf-bare, though."
She glanced back at her herbs, then back at Elkkit.
"The herbs I haven't gathered yet will freeze soon if I don't get them fast enough. I think I may go out tomorrow."

Elkkit listened intently, flicking her tail tip. She didn't want to go back outside. Honestly she wanted to stay in here where it was warm. "I wish I could go. It sounds fun." She meowed sadly, ears pinning a bit. "Do you need any help in here, Cedarleap?" She asked the munchkin, smiling again.

Cedarleap fluffed up her fur as a cold breeze made it's way into the den.
The breeze knocked some loose herbs out of the cracks in the walls of the den, making Cedarleap prick her ears and look back.
She smiled, "Speaking of help, looks like I do need some."

Elkkit's eyes lit up and she stood, bounding on her toes. "Okay! What do you need me to do?" She asked, racing over to the holes in the walls and sniffing st the loose herbs excitedly. They smelt so good and healthy! She purred happily, looking at Cedarleap with bright, excited eyes.
