Sunfire looked up at the tunnel ceiling than down at her paws waiting to hear what Thrushfeather would chose to do. When he finally spoke up it took him a bit to get it all out but she waited and listened quietly. The more he spoke the more she smiled. No one ever wanted to play fight with her. She stood up her tail pointed straight up twitching excitedly. "That would be really fun, great idea Thrushfeather," she purred happily and twined her tail with his for a second. She looked in the direction she had been headed. "Isn't their a small cavern further down this tunnel? We could go there and have more room to play."
"No...I..Idea, if...the.. their mo..more ro..room...Le..let's go fi..find ou..out.." the pointed mink meowed, as he got to his paws, and started the way down there. He paused at the opening. "Ladi..ladies fi..first?" he meowed tilting his head. It took him a lot to get the guts to pause and be as his parents, would expect him. To let the ladies go first.
Sunfire padded after the tom to explore and see if her thoughts were correct. She had remembered the mentors speaking of extending one of the tunnels to make a cavern to train apprentices in when the snow was to deep. She was pretty sure it was this one. And before long Thrushfeather paused to let her go through first. Peaking her head through the entrance she purred happily to see she had been right. The ceiling was the perfect height for a cat to stand up on her hind legs and reach out with their front paws to touch it. A smile spread across her face. Her tail twitched and she spun around to see if Thrushfeather hadn't entered yet. She crouched down ready to pounce but letting the tom have the first move.
Thrushfeather let Sunfire go through first, and titled his head and decided to step in. However, before he stepped in he noticed the molly was ready. He couldn't help but purr at how ready she was for this game to start. It got him excited to play it also, which he very often isn't excited to play any games.
The dark point mink tom lowered his body and let his bottom well do that cat moves that cats often use when about to pounce. Normally he wouldn't let that show, but since this is a game, he didn't mind letting it show some. He leaped off his paws as if about to try and pounce, that was up to Sunfire if she saw the move and was able to avoid it or not.
Sunfire remained crouched waiting for the tom to enter. When he did he crouched like her and gave his butt a little wiggle before leaping at her. Her whiskers twitched for she had never seen this side of the tom before. Distracted by her thoughts she had not the time to dodge the attack instead she stood up on her hind paws and grabbed onto the tom as he landed on her. The two tumbled across the floor and after a couple rolls they came to a stop. Sunfire had hoped to land on top but ended up on the bottom. She laughed softly and playfully batted at his nose. Her eyes were glowing as she tried to figure out a way to get out from under him. In the end she decided to go limp and make him think she was giving up. Than surged up hoping to push him up and off of her without hurting him.
When the tom landed on top, oh boy was he shocked that he was the one to land on top of the lovely she-cat. He gave a small chuckle when she batted at his nose. When she did go limp he did think that she was 'giving up'. As such he started to get up but to his surprise, she could have knocked him off of her, but of course not hurting him.
If she did push him off of her, Thrushfeather went tumbling over and falling onto his back, with his paws up and soft underbelly exposed, giving her time to land on top of him.
Sunfire was able to knock him off of her and as he tumbled away she tried to cling on and roll with him hoping to land on top. When that seemed to actually work she purred softly and looked down at Thrushfeather and smiled. "Does this mean I won," she chuckled softly and stepped off of him and than gently butted her head against his side. She was having so much fun, she couldn't remember the last time she had, had this much fun. Things had been bad what with the death of her father just before her siblings were born. She had been there when her mom gave birth and had gotten to see her little siblings. But part of her had still been sad. But here and now with Thrushfeather she was truly happy. As she padded away she let her tail whisk across his muzzle softly.
Once the molly was on top of him, he was more shocked, but that lasted on a flatter of a second. He gave a small purr, and before answering her question, without much of a thought, he lifted his head and found himself licking her nose. "Yes, you win, my little fire!" he purred. He wasn't sure where that nickname came from, it just sounded right to call her. He just hoped she does not mind the nickname.
Once she was of him, he got to his paws and purred when she butted her head. He felt a blush when her tail whisks across his muzzle. He felt the need to rush to his paws and fall into step beside her. "Hope you...n...no..not m..mi...min...mind t...the n...ni...nic...nick...nickname.." he stuttered. He had to know for sure if she not mind that nickname, my little fire or not.
Sunfire was caught by surprise when first he lifted his head and licked her nose than called her his little fire. His actions had completely caught her off guard, so much so she froze for a moment. But than a purr began to rumble through her chest. If cats could blush her face would be beat red. Her heart was racing and she felt like there were butterflies in her stomach. For the first time he hadn't stuttered, his voice flowed normally making her even happier
But moment later when Thrushfeather spoke his stutter was back. But she thought maybe it was just nerves. At his question her eyes softened and a small smiled crossed her face and she touched her nose to his. "I don't mind at all in fact I quite like it," she purred softly.
Thrushfeather gave a small purr, when the she-cat said she did like the nick name. "What more you like to do Little Fire?" he asked. He is very much enjoying their time together, and could just enjoy the time even more, but thought to offer if there was something else she wanted to do.
