The first bout of sickness for a kit was usually an innocuous cold or a harmless belly ache, but for Boar, it felt like something much more sinister, well...Sinister by the standards of a kit who felt horrible. He shivered against the warm bedding of his nest, feeling particularly frustrated by the face that he just couldn't seem to get warm no matter how much he burrowed under the material he was laying on. His nose felt especially cold, or maybe warm...One of the cats who came in to see him had said everything felt too warm.
He hid his nose under his paws as he let out a string of hoarse, wet coughs that brought moisture at his eyes as they watered against the pain in his throat. He hated this, he absolutely hated it, the black ball of fluff had heard several cats around the camp coughing...Which was worrying, but more importantly...He wanted to know which of them had brought it in here...So he could slap at their ears later.
Another miserable strong of coughs drew a frustrated sound from Boarkit as he stuffed his head more under the bedding, as if he thought that might help. As much as the brash kit hated to admit it, he was actually a little scared.
