Dapplekit was bored. And she didn't like it. The last thing she wanted to be today was bored! She had to find someone to play with, and fast. She made this her mission as she marched around camp, looking at the apprentices and warriors. The apprentices were busy doing apprentice things, unfortunately. And all the warriors were either patrolling, hunting, or didn't want to play with her. She pouted and turned her attention to the older kits. Dapplekit would be the only one in the nursery soon, though she was sure there'd be more kits to play with soon. One of the older kits stood out, they were really fluffy! Dapplekit decided she liked fluffy. She ran over to her, sometimes tripping over her own paws.
Dapplekit went straight into introducing herself, "Hello! I'm Dapplekit, what's your name?"

Heronkit was trying her best to be invisible, the movement scaring her a bit and the loud noises from the others making her jumpy. When a younger kit had started to bounce around, and then approach her, she glanced towards her siblings to try and hide. However, they weren't there! Flattening her ears back with a shiver, the kit stared towards the younger one's eyes.

Her tail tucked under her, and she froze in place, giving a small gulp while trying to not look away. 'Don't eat me, don't eat me...'

The other kit just.. stared at her. She looked kinda scared. Dapplekit flicked her ears back, "I'm sorry, did I scare you?" Dapplekit didn't wanna scare her, she wanted to play! She perked up, "Wanna play with me?" She batted at the other kit's nose gently with one of her forepaws. "I also kinda need your name, I'm not very good at remembering them."

[Mama]

Instead of reacting much, the kit stiffened up and flopped over with a thump. Her eyes were wide, and she fell back as if she was a lump. After a moment, the she-cat gave a little squeak, like a small animal. Her mouth hung open a little, and Heronkit gave another squeak a few seconds after.

The fur along Dapplekit's spine bristled with concern when the other kit fell over. "Are you okay? Should I get the medicine cat?" She backed up a little. "I can wait over here if you need space." Dapplekit was worried, she didn't like being worried just as she didn't like being bored. She sat about a tail-length away from the other kit, yet to know her name, waiting patiently for her to calm down or say something.

[Mama]

"I-I'm good.." She whispered, her voice very very deep and her words heavy. Shivering a bit, she slowly sat back up, her ears flattened back before she looked around left and right. Was there anyone else looking? Did her father come in to get mad that she wasn't being strong and a warrior. That was too scary!

Her eyes looked fearful as she glanced towards the she-kit again, before finding her voice. "I-I'm H-heronk-kit."

Dapplekit smiled, her eyes still worried, as the other kit shakily sat up. "Heronkit! It suits you. I'm Dapplekit." She stayed sitting so she wouldn't scare Heronkit again. Dapplekit thought the older kits were more.. she didn't know, not scared? But that was okay! Dapplekit still liked Heronkit's fluffiness. "Er, do you still want to play?"
